Education Programs

ACT Museums & Galleries (ACT M&G) offers a range of innovative, discovery-based education
experiences which explore the historical, social, artistic and environmental identity of the
Canberra region.

Developed to support a diversity of learning styles, programs are facilitated by qualified educators
with an extensive knowledge of education theory and best practice strategies.Education Officers communicate directly with teachers throughout the booking process to ensure programs are
responsive and meet students’ needs. This enables a valuable opportunity for educators to
build on classroom learning and cater for special needs.

Teachers are further supported with comprehensive pre-visit and post-visit information as part
of all ACT M&G education programs. These resources provide practical ways for teachers to link
learning in the classroom to the concepts explored during programs.

All programs are framed by local and national curriculum requirements to assist teachers
in planning quality education experiences.Through our programs it is our aim to foster strong relationships with local and regional schools, and provide positive and meaningful learning
opportunities for our community.
