WORKSHOP: Preparing your garden for spring

Unfortunatly this program is now booked out.

Join gardener, Alison McLeod, in the extensive vegetable garden as she explains the processes
of growing vegetables organically, propagating seedlings and preparing gardens for spring after Canberra’s long cold winter. Then get your hands dirty and pot up a seedling to take home for
your own garden.

Surprise Mum with a trip to Lanyon for a tour through the homestead.

Bring along your own picnic to enjoy in the garden.

Free entry to the homestead for mothers and grandmothers; otherwise normal admission.



HERITAGE FESTIVAL EVENT: Archaeological walk

Sat 20 April: 10.30am–12.00pm

Join archaeologist Stuart Huys, Director of Cultural Heritage Management Australia,
for a walk through the paddocks to learn about excavations undertaken at Lanyon
in February, with support from the ACT Heritage Unit.

Free, RSVP by Thu 18 April; please wear long pants and sturdy closed-toe shoes.
