WALKING TOUR: ACTON COMMUNITY


Mon 16 April: 10.30am–12.00pm

Join Senior Curator Dale Middleby and Public Art Consultant Pamille Berg for
a walk from CMAG to the Acton precinct to consider how Canberra town planners
and developers have fostered communities over time.

Free, all ages, RSVP by Sun 15 April.



MEMBERS EVENT: FAMILY STORYTELLER


Sat 21 April: 1.00–2.00pm or 2.00-3.00pm

Celebrate Youth Week by joining storyteller Kate Collins for a program of narrative
that explores and reinterprets the images in Jeanie Baker’s Mirror exhibition.

Free for members with 6-10 year olds and their families, includes light afternoon tea,
RSVP by Wed 18 April.



PUBLIC ART WALKING TOUR:
AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Wednesday 20 June: 10.00-11.30am

Join Deborah Clark, Curator Visual Arts, for the second in a series of gentle walking tours
of public art at the Australian National University.

Meet inside the School of Art Foyer Gallery (ANU) at 9.45am for a 10.00am start.
Free, RSVP by Mon 18 June, refreshments provided.



POETRY READING

Thu 5 July: 4.30-5.15pm

Hear a fantastic selection of ekphrastic poetry; poetry inspired by visual art forms.
These poems are inspired by the images and objects in the Canberra Stories
exhibition and the Nolan Collection.

Organised by Australian Poetry, sponsored by artsACT.
Craft ACT will then host a reading at 5.30pm



CURATOR’S FLOOR TALK

Tuesday 3 July: 1.00-2.00pm

Crystallise ideas about abstraction with Curator Mark Bayly. Consider how a range of Canberra and region artists are informing, inspiring and influencing each other’s work.
