SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOP: SEW WHAT

Mon 23 April: 10.00am-2.00pm (5 to 8 years)
Tue 24 April: 10.00am-2.00pm (9 to 12 years)

Inspired by Sidney Nolan’s paintings and the delightfully whimsical
work of his friend, artist Mirka Mora, children will design, create and
embellish a soft sculpture in the CMAG Studio.
Please bring your own snacks, lunch and a drink. In association
with the Canberra and Region Heritage Festival.

Cost: $20 ($15 members), payment due by Tue 17 April.



Activity table creative supplies

CMAG Children’s Activity Tables and Reading Corner


Children are always catered for with our Activity Table and Reading Corner. The Activity Table helps 4 to 8 year olds access our collection through undirected play activities, and the Reading Corner provides a quiet place in the City to catch on the latest children’s titles.

For: Families with 4 to 8 year olds
Cost: Free
NB: Parental supervision required

T is for TODDLER

Family Event: Selected Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
10:00am to 1:00pm @ CMAG


A morning of undirected hands-on activities and structured art
workshops for children aged 2 to 3 years. Take a toddle through
the CMAG galleries, engage with selected artworks and participate
in a range of play-based art making experiences.
Bookings for workshops are strongly recommended.

For: Children aged 2 to 3 years with their parent/carer

CMAG on SUNDAY

Family Event 12.30 – 3.30 pm
Studio

Join us on the first Sunday of every month for an afternoon of structured and free-range activities for children aged 4-8 years. Structured workshops run throughout the day and bookings are strongly recommended. Workshops are led by artist Hanna Hoyne.
