For: Families with 4 to 10 year olds

The annual CMAG on Sunday in celebration of Book Week. Join us for an afternoon of activities based on books shortlisted for the Picture Book and Early Childhood Book of the Year by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.

There are a range of activities planned across CMAG including:

Studio Workshop

12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm

Join Jacqueline Bradley to create works
inspired by Antarctica and the book,
Sophie Scott Goes South

Theatre Workshop

1.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm

Fashion puppets using recycled materials
with Jigsaw Theatre.

Watercolour painting

Be inspired by Anna Walker’s exquisite illustrations in Peggy.

Face painting

Free face painting in the CMAG courtyard,
which character will you choose?

Frog Eyes and Shark Teeth

Make your own creature inspired by
The Pros and Cons of Being a Frog

Hobby horse

Add tails and manes to paper horses inspired
by Lightning Jack in the Nolan Collection Gallery.


Hot drinks and delicious treats will be available for purchase.
