The wardrobes at Calthorpes’ House are full of fabulous fashions. Hidden away in cupboards, dressing tables and drawers, these fragile survivors illustrate the lives of the Calthorpe women who wore and used them. Join us for a special tour where you can see these fragile survivors in more detail.

John Armes, Assistant Director: Historic Places ACT, leads a walking tour around the streets of Red Hill. John will focus on the architectural history of the suburb and discuss how residents are blending heritage, modern living and a range of particular architectural tastes and fashions. This is a unique opportunity to explore the exteriors of some of Canberra’s most exclusive properties. Wear your walking shoes as we will cover a distance of approximately 3 kilometres.
