A delightful afternoon saw over 200 visitors celebrate spring with music in the
garden at Calthorpes’ House. Many people arrived with their picnic which they enjoyed
on the lawn whilst the ANU School of Music ensembles delivered standout performances.

It’s time for some hearty fare! Join members from Slow Food
Canberra as they prepare dishes reminiscent of the 1920s and
1930s. Join in the exchange of ideas and advice in the historic
Calthorpes kitchen as you warm yourself by the wood-fi red stove.

Hidden away in cupboards, dressing tables and drawers, these
fragile survivors illustrate the lives of the Calthorpe ladies who
wore and used them. Join us for a special tour where you can
